My name is Eduardo “Eddie” Guaracha, and I am honored to be a candidate for the San Juan Bautista City Council. As a retired civil servant from California State Parks with over 30 years of service, I see this as a meaningful opportunity to continue serving and giving back to the community I am proud to call home.

The desire to serve has always been a part of who I am. I believe San Juan Bautista is at an important crossroads, and the decisions we make today will shape the future of our community for years to come. Revitalizing our town while preserving the character, history, and spirit that make San Juan Bautista special will require thoughtful leadership, careful planning, and a willingness to make tough decisions.

I believe we can move our community forward while honoring what makes San Juan Bautista unique. As a council member, my guiding principle will always be simple: Community First.

Keeping the needs of our residents, local businesses, and the community at the heart of every decision will keep me grounded and focused on building a strong, sustainable future for San Juan Bautista.

I believe our community has a wonderful history, a strong sense of identity, and a bright future.

As we move forward, we need to balance responsible growth with the need to maintain sustainable City services.

We need to support our local businesses, protect the character of our community,

and make sure residents have a voice in the decisions that affect their future.

I would be honored to bring my experience, integrity, and commitment to public service to the San Juan Bautista City Council.
Most importantly, I want to listen, work together, and serve our community.

Revitalize our Downtown
- Bringing businesses, property owners, residents, and community together to encourage thoughtful investment, improve events, and protect the historic character of downtown.

Make City Government Easier to Navigate
- Review permitting, expand online access, reduce unnecessary delays, and make city processes clearer for residents and local businesses.

Foster Community Engagement
- Support volunteer projects, clean-up days, service organizations, neighborhood improvements, and partnerships that give residents a meaningful role in the town's future.
